do you mean anti-fouling on the bottoms?

there's a LOT of regulation about what is allowed where....Jotun is a big Dutch maker of anti fouling, but as to what allowed in the UK?..........it's on your chandler's shelf.....

Don`t forget that those barges are mostly in brackish to fresh water,where you get a different type of fouling.(more of a slime really) Canal boats in the U.K. use "blacking"-don`t know anything about it as I have never used it. For salt water,I have found that Jotun Seaguardian is one of the best. Beware using antifouling that was meant for a commercial ship(they are still allowed to use T.B.T) In our area we get official types in a rib,taking swabs from the bottoms of newly antifouled boats-looking for illegal use of T.B.T.

sounds like what you need is anti fouling paint . you can buy at any boat chandlers, the more expensive stuff is better as you would expect. the light blue stuff i find to be the best but the red gear is fine. one coat happy days .i dont know what they use in the netherlands but the blue stuff i mentioned is used on cargo ships

Anti-Foul should do a vessel every two years.
