First, you need to take acting classes and be in lots of plays to build up your resume. You may even want to consider working with a private coach. Then after you have had training and experience, then you can type up your resume and get headshots done. After getting all of this together, search on the internet for agents in your area. When you find a few with a good rep, then you send them your headshots and resume. They will then contact you if they are interested in setting up a meeting with you, for you to audition for them. Next, if they think you have talent and that they can find work for you, they will sign a contract with you, and will then find auditions for you to go to. Hope that helps! Good Luck!

You have to ACT in a play if you want be seen by casting directors and talent agents. They go to the theater to find NEW talent. If you are not performing you cannot be seen by the industry professionals that need to see you act on stage.
