I saw this tree in manhattan and absolutly fell in love with it. i live in florida and was wondring if this tree would survive the harsh climate

Most ornamental flowering cherries don't bloom well in Florida's growing zone due to the lack of winter chill.

I know that fruit producing cherry trees won't grow in Florida. I would check with a local garden center (not Walmart) in your area. Ornamental cherry trees may grow. In my 11 years in Florida, I did not see any though.

im new to the whole tree thing too, i would suggest a store such as earl-may garden center. or even perhaps ebay. i hope your tree wishes happen. good luck.
