When I turn it on it makes a beeping noise like a little siren. The orange light comes on, but not the green one. I usually wait 10 minutes for the noise to go off, then I turn it on and it works, what is causing this problem?

Yep, sounds like a hardware problem to me too. It could be anything really. If it is old, it might be a good idea to upgrade, but next time stay away from compaq and dell. Get a custom made computer.

Sounds like a problem on startup with some of your hardware. You should have your computer checked out by a tech as soon as possible. Your comp should not be acting like that if it is working properly!

Sounds like a bad PSU.

If you dont know how to get and install one have someone else do it for you.

I would not run your PC anymore, if a BAD PSU is relevant it can actually take something out like a Motherboard or more..
