The same crap people made about July 7, 2007. People are morons (if you didn't know that already).

I'm sure at 12:12 and 12.121212 seconds, on Dec 12, 2012, people think Jesus will come back or something.

Absolutely nothing. :) The date is actually the winter Solstice on the 21st, though I guess 12/12/12 might seem a bit cooler to some. LOL The world is not ending, the Mayans just saw it as the end of one cycle and the beginning of another; Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce and the bible don't say one word about it, and the Age of Aquarius most emphatically does not start at New Years like clockwork! One thing, no one can agree on when exactly the Age of Aquarius does start and how it's determined. Some say it started hundreds of years ago, some say it won't be for hundreds of years to come. But at any rate, it won't be based on our current calendar: whichever yardstick you want to measure it by, it's an astronomical event, which hardly ever coincides neatly with our modern calendars. It's hard to explain in detail to those unfamiliar with the subject, but it's more than something transiting into Aquarius; that happens pretty regularly. It has to do with the Precession of the Equinoxes and whether or not the Spring Equinox occurs either in the constellation of Aquarius or the zodiac sign of Aquarius, by the starting point of the sidereal zodiac. The issue is that the zodiac signs are *not* the same thing as the constellations they share a name with, they are 12 equal zones of space, 30 degrees in length, in *both* sidereal and tropical astrology. But the actual constellations are unequal in length. So in the end you come up with the 2 most sensible times for the changeover: either when the Equinox occurs in Sidereal Aquarius, or when it's in the stars of the constellation of Aquarius. All other dates are wildly speculative based on "really cool" alignments featuring a lot of planets in Aquarius or featuring aspect patterns heavily weighted in Aquarius. LOL

Well, its the last time for 988 years that we will see the same numbered day, month and year. Because for the first 12 years of any 1000 years there is 1-1-01, 2-2-02 and so on. But after 12-12-2012 it will be 988 years until 1-1-3001.

The same thing that was up with 6/6/06, 7/7/07, or any of the other corresponding numbers for that matter. People are weird.

If the armageddon was going to take place, wouldn't it take place on the universe's schedule, and not the numbers and days kept by us puny mortals?

Nobody know anything for sure. The only way to know for sure is to ask God or Heaven and sometimes God changes his mind of what weather is going to come or when the world will end. There is no way some carvings that someone made in a rock a long time ago predict the furture if scientist can't even predict what the weather for tommorow correct all the time. They probley just asume stuff because of Global Warming and etc.. It's not some magazin or code or rock or person choice where the world will end, it's Jesus's choice. If it don't straight up say it in the Bible then nobody know for sure. Don't worry.

The day you probably are referring to is, December 21, 2012, and it is the end of the Mayan Long Count calendar, which some believe is the end of time. Their calendar is composed of cycles that, apparently, point to a catastrophic event.

Part of this belief is based on the fact that, on that day, the sun will be aligned with the Milky Way, and that hasn’t happened in 26,000 years. This event is supposed to disrupt the energy that streams to earth from its center, potentially causing an apocalyptic crisis.

Will it happen? Did Y2K happen?

Oh, and it's my birthday...I'll be turning 50. :~)

I read it had something to do with the Mayan calendar predicts the end of the world or something. I wouldn't waste too much time worrying about it.

Some people will be born and some people will die.
Just like they did yesterday and will do tomorrow.
The rest of us will keep on living our lives.
Unless something that is unpredictable at this time happens.
