I was going to say when I turned 16...but my aunt sent me some in the hospital when my daughter was born in Feb. on wait! no she sent the baby a gift and some balloons. On my 16th b-day my mother sent them to the school, oh crap wait nope that was a jar of candy with a happy b-day balloon. Nope, no flowers....I'd love to receive flowers, why don't guys do that anymore?

A few months ago. My b/f sent me flowers at work and the card said, "Just because I love you". It was so sweet.

Last weekend I got guilt flowers from my husband, now I am waiting for the guilt jewlery.

It hasn't ever happened.
I'm male and there's a double-standard when it comes to girls giving guys presents. It's expected for men to dole gifts onto women to remind them how much we care. When we get disappointed and jilted by NEVER ONCE GETTING ANYTHING, and we say something about it...then immediately we are spoiled, selfish, etc etc etc.
I gave up on that years ago...still think the double-standard of the sexes is immature and narcissistic and just plain wrong, but you know...SOME genders are NEVER wrong. So why bother explaining this anymore...
