It is possible, understand that people fear the unknown. The average american citizen doesn't know the plots of those in higher principalities. So in turn the tell us everyday in the media, this crisis occurred, crime rate is up, etc. Terrorism is very much active, however, greatly exaggerated due to the fact that they want us to believe we are in danger. When we aren't even safe from those who claim to do good by the people of the U.S. It is a thought worth really researching and analzing how the goverment feed us what they wish to disclose to us. As creatures of reason, we need to be enlighten to what is really taking place in the world around us

It's not only possible, it's actually IS the case! Our government has instilled the fear of terrorism in order to gain more control over people's lives.

Adolph Hitler once said: "The great masses of people will more easily fall victim to a big lie than a small one.....make the lie big, keep it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it..." Hitler also said: "How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

The Bush administration has used this Hitleresque philosophy to destroy our national independence, turning the U.S.A. into a police state where citizens are presumed guilty until proven innocent.

It startles me to hear otherwise-intelligent people pooh-pooh the possibility that 9-11 was orchestrated by the Bush administration. There is credible evidence to make that logical assumption, and naysayers should not be so inflexible as to not at least consider such a possibility.

Our U.S. government has lied to us about all kinds of things, none so dastardly as the 9-11 'terrorist' attack. -RKO- 07/12/07

The people still decide whether or not terrorism is scary. However, terrorists have become somewhat of a pop culture icon as the "ultimate evil". Take a look at Ratatouille, the new Disney movie. A rat is trying to stop a terrorist. Do you think Disney would have used a terrorist character if 9/11 had not happened?

What conspiracy theory?

The one that says that this administration has used the threat of terror attacks to keep the population too scared to demand responsibility from their leaders?

Or the one that says that they have used the attacks of 9/11 to further an agenda that the PNAC laid out years before - but claimed would take a long time to accomplish unless there were a catalyzing event like 'another pearl harbor'?

What makes you think this is conspiracy thinking? Bush and his cronies are using fear tactics, very successfully, to convince the gullible masses that this neverending war is necessary and must continue indefinately. Where have you been these last 4 1/2 years?

Only if we choose to accept the propaganda and scare tactics.

Terrorists are a danger to public safety, certainly. So are drunk drivers and muggers.

But you don't live your life in fear ofthem-and you certainly don't surrender your civil liberties in exchange for so-called "protection."

Anything is possible, to include pigs flying. However, I believe the threat of terrorism is very real.

It is possible. Some people enjoy a fatalistic environment.

Sigh. And you believe that George Bush lit the fuse on the flying bombs that flew in the twin towers, huh? And that it was really a bomb in the Pentagon, rather than a plane? Sheesh.

Those were real airplanes that crashed into the WTC.
