I was just wondering if you could only breast feed you baby through pumping and pumping only. My baby has problems getting the milk out as fast as she wants it. So I get bruised and she gets upset. I've waited the whole six weeks thing and nothing has gotten better...if anything it's gotten worst. Just wondering.

I did it... I only pumped and gave my daughter breast milk through bottle. It worked well because I knew how much she was drinking and all...the only downer is that pumping is time consuming... you're supposed to pump everytime your baby eats (so like every three to four hours) and it takes a little longer unless you have a double electric pump. (expensive) You really really really have to pump often though if you're not breastfeeding at all-otherwise you will lose your milk supply and it disappears quickly. It will help you both enjoy feeding time much more. good luck!

yes, just use a bottle that she likes the nipple of & it should be fine.
Learn how to store breastmilk safely below:

fresh milk will keep in the fridge up to 8 days, and frozen milk will keep 3-4 months in a regular freezer compartment with a separate door, and in a chest type deep freezer, 6-12 months

yes you can , but keep trying too. Maybe give her a bottle first to take the edge off her hunger and finish up with regular nursing. She will get the hang of it soon enough. kudos to you for sticking to it through all the trouble. Many women give up before a good nursing routine can be established.

you could.. but really i think you should go to formula. I tried this for 2 months and you'll find that every time you have a spare moment you have to pump. Its very difficult. If you wanna give it a shot go right ahead. Good luck though its a really hard thing to do.

you can pump and pump alone, that works. and also , you can switch back and forth between breast milk and formula. it is not harmful to baby. good luck!
