The true number of homosexuals.
• The Kinsey study of 1948, which homosexuals often cite to say that 10% of the population is homosexual, actually says that only 4% of the population is EXCLUSIVELY homosexual. This study involved a disproportionate number of people who had been in jail for sex crimes (hardly a random sample of the population). • Current research shows that the true percentage of homosexuals is in the 1-2% range (15,23,26,28). Consider how small this number is when compared to most of the numbers above.
Homosexuals aren't discriminated against in employment, so why should they be a protected class?
• The average yearly income of a homosexual is $55,430.00 (most of which is disposable because no children to take care of!). The average of the general population is $32,144.00. The average of blacks is $12,166.00 (24).
• 59.6% of homosexuals are college graduates. 18.0% of the general population are college graduates (24). Too bad they aren't smart enough to listen to God. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:22).
• 49.0% of homosexuals hold professional/managerial positions. 15.9% of the general population hold such positions (24). Where's the job discrimination?
Sexual Orientation
• A phrase that has come up recently in this earth is "sexual orientation." This is a phrase made up by homosexuals to try to make themselves look less filthy than they really are. The purpose of the phrase is to take the spotlight from what these perverts do, and put it on the notion that they are just poor, mistreated people, who simply are attracted to members of the same sex - as if they aren't engaging in activity forbidden by God Almighty. "Sexual orientation," as used today, has nothing to do with sexual activity (yeah, right), but only refers to who or what a particular person is attracted to. If you think that people of other "sexual orientations" are just fine, let's see what other "sexual orientations" you would necessarily have to accept as wholesome and pure. If you're not going to discriminate based on "sexual orientation", then you must not discriminate against any of the following. If you discriminate against any of these, you're a hypocrite. These "sexual orientations" are generally known as "paraphilias", and are mental disorders - just like homosexuality used to be (29).

Whether they were born like it or it was the result of environmental influences, the fact remains that it is not a choice. Thus you can disagree with homosexuality, but it is pretty much equivalent to disagreeing with having red hair or being left handed. Attempts to change homosexuality have shown to do nothing but cause harm to the people put through it. Penalizing people for something they cannot control is unwise.

It has been proven numerous times that homosexuality is not a choice and it cannot be changed. If you want to contradict years of psychology and science, go ahead.

Why cant people accept others for who they are?

There is nothing wrong with homosexuality. Theres been a finding recently (read about it from a handout that my professor gave) that found that there is a gene for homesexuality. So if that finding is true, which it seems to be, then homesexuals were indeed born that way.

And to them, there is nothing wrong with it. Its their personal belief, and we as a nation should not tell them that its wrong. If you think about it, its a step towards communism (trying to control the lives of the citizens).

Can you get sexually excited with a person of the same sex? If you're a guy, can you get erect staring at another guys junk? Most straight people will say that they can't.

Gay people can, and do.

Um...dude, theres proof that they were born that way, it's got somethin' to do with the brain stem, that men have shorter brain stems than women (which makes them like women) and women have longer ones (making them like men) so then sometimes it gets switched around, (so guys like guys and women like women) that's just a working theory not actual proof, and why does it always come down to the whole "god and sin" thing, I have a guy cousin and HE is a big time Christian, he has to go to a homosexual church because STRAIGHT churches won't accept "his kind' as one preacher once told him (I was there, pissed me off) so who do you think will actually go to hell? Gee, could it be that you are WRONG and that gays were 'born gay'? Because I did research in college (for my Master's Thesis) on Animals/not human and they had the EXACT SAME PERCENTAGE OF 'active gayness' ... which indicates that it is 'universal' for 10% to be 'totally gay' and that would imply it was a factor at conception/birth and not a 'choice' ... so get over yourself and try finding out how WONDERFUL gays can be if you aren't 'preaching at them' about 'asking God to forgive them' ... and try being a 'good friend' instead of an ENEMY disguised as someone who 'cares' about them!
