Yeah. When I was younger, I got slapped in front of this old woman. I know I deserved it, but it was embarrassing!

ALL...THE...TIME My mother is not exactly a small woman. And when I was about 14 or so, there was this small carnival type thing we went to. And there was a street band playing. So she starts shaking her gelatinous, dimple-marked hind end all over the place, and then tries to pull me into the fray. Although I'm older now (29) my mother still delights in trying her best to embarrass me in public...which is why I try to get out of going anywhere with her....ever.

I used to think so but now that I look back on it I really don't believe I should have been so embarrassed. Like when I would go to the grocery store with my Mom she would always get into these stupid conversations with the cashier, I do the same thing now.

I don't get embarrassed anymore, but I sure did as kid. Like my mother making me try on clothes in the aisle of a kids' section. An employee actually told her "lady, you know we don't charge you to use the changing rooms?" Now she embarrasses my daughter. But I think it's in a parents' job description to embarrass their kids, isn't it?

whilst i became a teenager my dad would gimp around and act like he had some psychological concern just to embarrass me and it worked. once I have been given a splash older my dad and that i'd the two do it to embarrass my little brother. I pass over my dad... R.I.P. papa!!

that's what parents are here for :)
but when you get used to it, or when you take it easy, you'll notice that people don't care, and most of the time your parents embarrass you unintentionlly because they love you and care for you.

Yes. They would talk loudly and they would call me sweetie. That is why I would walk FAR behind them.
