Well... you see, I was gonna call, but then my aunt came down with a wicked case of the runs, and I had to take her to the emergency room, and on the way there, a wild pack of unicorns attacked my car, drug me out and delivered a savage beating upon my back. After that, i tried to call for help, but by that time the garden gnome mafia had heard of my troubles, and looking to capatalise on my misfortune, they arrived en masse to deliver another savage beating, in which my cell phone was smashed to peices.
And... your number was in my cell phone, so.. yanno...
