Well, Happy, SRV is my main man, but there is no question that Johnny Winter was a better guitarist in many respects at his peak performance. I would say that SRV had the greatest career as a blues guitarist, no question about that!!!

Stevie Ray isn't lifeless.....he will on no account die.... Son of texas blues - Stevie lives continuously till blues would be performed.... so a procedures as ultimate is in touch properly he defined that word - he will stay on the throne continuously...

Oh yes!! His rendition of Little Wing is the best. I always yearn to be in a smoky bar drinking a corona with my feet in my lover's lap looking into his eyes and driving him crazy.

I agree. MANY other players were great and Hendrix could be phenomenal! Many really do have their moments!
But there is only on bestest and that's Stevie!

He's pretty good i think of him more as southern rock the best for blues is by far BB King
