The GAO just did an undercover sting in which they were able to obtain a licence for nuclear material without appearing in person, in 28 days. The licence was mailed to a UPS store. They then altered the document and were able to successfully purchase enough nuclear material to build a dirty bomb.

Looks like our security priorities are a little screwed up.

almost nothing.

it has been identified that a suitcase nuke is the single greatest threat to the usa today and about $1 billion dollars a year is spent on this very real, very serious threat.

we are currently spending $12 billion a MONTH in iraq - a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11, american security or the global war on terror.

the reason for this discrepancy is corporate contracts - there are none to be had in defending america from a suitcase nuke and plenty to be had in iraq.

This just illustrates the lies we've been fed by the current administration. They rule by FEAR, because fear is probably the most persuasive emotion that there is.

Obviously 9/11 happened. But, you have to ask yourself whether some in our government LET it happen, or - even worse - MADE it happen. Everything they've done TO us - not *for* us - has been *justified* by the actions of 9/11. And of course, not just to us, but to much of the world.

A very effective campaign, I'd say. Right up there with the Spanish Inqisition, the Salem Witch Trials, and the rhetoric Hitler used to foment hatred of the Jews.

Open your eyes, folks.

Well if we use the same technique the liberals want to use to stop illegal aliens from coming here we'll pass a law that makes it illegal to sell the material but not illegal to buy it. In fact those that do come here to buy it we'll make them citizens.

What is wrong with this picture?

The solution is fire the clowns who allowed the licence to be obtained in the first place. And make it national news as to WHY they were fired.
