It happens, but usually at strange times that I would never expect. For example, I wear a suit to work every day (I work as an administrator in a school system). I only have about six or seven suits, so I rotate through them so that I'm not wearing the same thing all the time, but it's basically the same suits over and over with different shirt/tie combos, or maybe a vest once in a while. Well, it happens probably three times a year that some teacher or student, whom I see every single day, will say to me, "Wow, you look great in that suit. What are you all dressed up for?"
When this happens, I don't know whether to be complimented or insulted. I mean, it's nice that someone takes the time to comment on how I'm dressed, but it's no different, really, from the way I dress every day. So do they never notice the other 20 or 30 times I've worn this suit? Was this just a good hair day? What's up? It's a conundrum.
About the only time complete strangers will comment on how I look is if I'm wearing a Winnie the Pooh tie or something. The women love that and they let me know it. ;)

I get compliments everyday from random guys, but thats not the compliments I appreciate though. Like woo hoo baby you're hot can I get your number, thats just frickin lame. Once in a while I get a stranger(women) say you have beutiful eyes and I appreciate those people. Besides horny guys, I get compliments everyday from my husband.

Yea but it's mostly from guys hanging out car windows going "woo hoo hot mama", cat calls and stupid stuff like that. Every once in a while, I get just a normal compliment like "you look nice today"

Yeah people compliment me.
When a man compliments me, I don't believe him. I think he has an ulterior motive.
When a woman compliments me, I think I appreciate it much more.

yep.. shocks me when it happens, still.
normally its my eyes or voice.. both have worked wonders for me over the years..
only bad point about having deep blue eyes is its very easy for women to spot i'm attracted to them
everyone has "something" about them that attracts others, whether it be the obvious psyhical side. or their personality
i dated someone who was "pretty" , but pretty shallow / no personality.. that didn't last long.lol
i dated someone who i would say was far more attractive, and she was understated and had an amazing personality to go with it..
so it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Strangers compliment me, clients too. I'm pretty shy so it always throws me off a bit
