Depends on how far along you are. Most doctors wont induce before 40 weeks unless there is a medical need to do so. Also I was induced with my first one its not pleasant I had very strong contractions from the begining and my labor lasted 23 hours. You may be better off waiting for nature to take its course.

It depends on how far along you are. If you have not even reached the 40 weeks mark yet, then they are not going to induce you. Most doctors will not induce you until you are around 42 weeks. They know that the baby will come out when it is ready. Just relax and stop trying to rush things. The baby will be here before you know it. God Luck.

It really depends on why, however, people schedule inductions ALL of the time - especially c-sections! Haven't you heard of elective c-sections. Anyway, if you are past the 36 week mark and the baby looks great, induction can happen - it's really no big deal nowadays.

Oh, that also depends on where your doctor stands - some will induce, some won't. My doctor said she will.

you cant just ask them for induction. Part of being pregnant is the last few weeks of pure discomfort, everyone goes through it so why should you be any different to the rest of us who have to wait until D-day- that was meant with no harshness but that is the way they will see us, i know most of us would prefer an induction to suffering these last few weeks of pure discomfort but docs only tend to do so with medical grounds as induction does present risks also.

depends on how far along you are. If you are 37-38 weeks they will want you to wait, escecally since an inducemnt wont work if the cervex is not ready to dialate. If you are nearer to your due date, or is you have begun effacement and dialation, then you may be able to schedule and induction
