Conservatives are against entitlement programs obviously that means they are racist.
Never mind that the Republican party was founded to end the spread of slavery and practically every racist law was implemented by Democrats.

What do you mean by right-wing? I would say if you mean extremists (of which there re examples on both the left and right), then "reactionary" is the appropriate term; these people on the fringes of political thought are, most likely, racist sympathizers. The large majority of conservatives are much more mainstream in temperament and philosophy, and are not racist or racially motivated.
You should also define "so many people." I think you mean those on the left, or the liberals--many of whom are mainstream themselves, but more subject to the misguided notions of the extreme lefties who control the media outlets, and thus the outflow of information. If certain people listen to nothing but lies or half-truths when they turn on the news or open a newspaper, then sooner or later they'll come to believe those lies or half-truths, and repeat them; its simple psychology, and the liberals know this.
By the way, many of today's liberals were yesterday's conservatives. The same party which promoted racist policies against blacks in the 50s and 60s is now doing the exact same thing by means of affirmative action and quotas--to repeat what I've said before, the best way to oppress a people is to persuade them that you're acting in their best interests. It's becoming harder for the libs to do this convincingly, so they've resorted to demonizing their opposition--pinning the "racist" label on conservatives (who represent more than 50 percent of the thinking population) is their way of maintaining the status quo.
