I have a 15 litre tank with pump and the temperature in it is 22`C how can i cool it down? I dont have a fan to use and cant afford to buy one just yet. I've been putting icecubes in but that only works for a while.

I would only advise using ice cube during a heat wave and only if you were not going out as the temperature would have to be monitored frequently. using ice cube could get a little tricky as the water temperature would start to drop rather quickly and then as the ice melts would then rise somewhat quickly possibly inducing temperature change shock to the fish.

the best way to keep the temperature down is place a fan in front of the aquarium and let it blow air directly on to it. a small fan is not expensive. it cost from $4-$10 from Walmart or Target.

I would say not to worry too much about the temperature as something that we have no control over. The best thing that you can do in these summer months are more frequent partial water changes and closely monitor the water parameters.

You can buy granite slabs first put them in the freezer for a couple of hours then into the tank this will help to cool the water down slowly and just repeat

If you have a heater in the tank, try turning the heater down and wait 24 hours, then change it again if necessary. The most immediate solution would be to buy an aquarium chiller, but they're awfully expensive.

Thera are special ventilators for tanks in the Pet shops, Just I see your tank is very small so water warms. 22 centigrades is not too much specially for tropical fishes. Just put in the shadow in a fresh corner of the inside house.

By our standards that is a 4.5 gallon tank, the temperature for your goldfish is fine, BUT the size of the tank isn't, way to smalle for goldfish, especially if you have even more then 1 in there, it's cruel to the goldfish, get a bigger tank

Hope that helps

Why do you want to keep it cool?

Goldfish living in lakes and ponds can't have their water cooled down, yet the fish still breed

Goldfish are very hardy. 22C should be just fine for him. I am pleased that you care so much about giving your goldfish what they need.

You could also check the library and do a search online for more help and info.
