I was on last night and there was a HIGHLY offensive "question" from one more strident conservative flame throwers that are here to antagonize rather than add to the debate, several of that individuals conservative brethren called them on it and said they were ashamed by the question, I found this to be wonderful, we need to police ourselves better here and calling out the genuine jerks is a great way to do it. I posted a nuetral question to this effect and said I thought the actions of those conservatives was to be commended, many agreed and 2 more flame throwers answered calling me profane names etc. I didn't report them because I just don't do that, free speech is free speech and I believe the merits will win over the idiots in every instance, so imagine my surprise when I get a violation notice saying the question violated community standards, is this what we're coming to here if so is this venue even worth Yahoo's or our efforts to maintain?

I'm sorry to read this and apologize for the idiot who gave you a violation.

Both sides are guilty of this and I wish the childishness would come to an end.

I saw that question and have no idea, why it was reported. It just goes to show how many questions are deleted for no apparent reason. Keep taking the high road. You've even given me the opportunity to give a few conservatives a thumbs up.

There are idiots on both sides of the aisle and many who are not even sure where the aisle is. It comes with the territory. Keep it positive, discuss the issues and those of us who are serious about the issues can have a great forum. Occasionally you have to deal with the trolls.

the trolls reported it and most likely a computer program sent you the violation report.. or at best someone who's first language isn't English.

don't sweat it and way to be positive.

Awww, do you want me to call the "Waaaambulance" for you ??

I have posted countless questions that some "open-minded, free-speech-loving liberal" has had removed because they can't answer it and it therefore made them look ignorant. Liberals are far more likely to become hateful and shout someone down than a conservative. - Look how they hate Bush, - I've never seen such blind hatred in my life. They hate him more than they hate Bin Laden and won't deny it !! - Ever been to a "peace or anti-war rally" ?? Oh, yeah - those people are real peace-loving, - while they stand screaming and frothing at the mouth in the face of someone whom disagrees with them.

Not really. The one(s) that reported you are probably not the ones that you gave the compliment to.

Consider it a compliment. You made them so mad when you took the high road approach and you must've proved something.

You have no way of knowing the political leanings of those who reported you. They could just as easily been liberals upset that you had something nice to say about conservatives. They may well consider you to be a traitor to their cause. There are many disturbed people from all over the spectrum here.
