Romance means a lot to me. It is so much more than sexual.

Romance is all about the special things we do for each other to set the mood, to woo each other. Candlelight, soft music, terms of endearment. Gentle, sweet kisses and just holding hands. Flowers, a sweet note left behind. A message on the answering machine waiting for you when you get home.

Meaningful glances, secret smiles. All of these things are romantic to me.

Oh! Romance. When I think of romance I think of Neil Young's song he wrote I guess for his wife called You Are Such A Woman. If my husband would write me something like that. Wow! Or Seeing an older man and woman walking together gathering flowers. It doesn't get any better than that. I think all woman want romance, and men usually don't get that. It is so basic I really don't know why they don't. It is much cheaper than some of the things they come up with. Keep your money guys right her a poem, even if it's corny if it comes form your heart she will love it. Or buy the ring or ear rings or necklace and roll the poem up and put it in the box how great would that be.

Romance is more than just sex. If my guy was only romantic when he wanted to make love it would be too predictable. It's more about the little surprises, sweet voice mails, and impromptu foot rubs that keeps the romance in a relationship. Mystery, surprise, and excitement.

Romance is coming home from a long day at work and finding that your boyfriend bought your favorite bottle of wine and it is chilling in the fridge.

That's as romantic as it gets in my house.

A language based on that of early Italy. Or any cultural tradition of similar ilk.

Now "romantic" may mean something more.

Romance to me is the feeling you get AFTER you pound your sister's face in.
Was that a bit harsh?

I'm with you, girl who said heartbreak. It really doesn't mean much anymore, it's a typical cliche.
