Of course I am polite and say thank you but under the cover of my politeness I am usually surprised, I never expect any compliments now days.

Honestly i actually dont really take compliments too well, i just dont like getting compliments for things i dont think are true, so when someone says something like you´re nice or something i just say "nah, im not" and then they continue to try to convince me, but they soon realize that i just dont accept it at all....and i kind of feel bad for that because i know they´re just trying to be sweet and i go and ruin it....but i cant help it, i dont like recognition for things i didnt do...but sometimes, when its someone i dont really know that well, i just say "thank you" even though i dont think its true....so um yeah lol like i said i really dont take compliments very well. :D

I smile and say 'thank you', let the person know I appreciate their compliment and that it made me feel good...I think it's okay to acknowledge a compliment without embarrassment or 'modesty', because when you think about it, why be "modest"? most of us aren't that "great" in the first place. [got that thought from Golda Meir-- made sense to me]

I usually try to brush it off. Or make it into a joke or something. I usually don't take them to heart, because I don't think anyone would be serious about that! I'm not the person that usually gets complimented!

I say "Thank You." Depending on what the compliment is, I'll say "I'm appreciative you took the time to notice."

i actually hate to recieve compliments. I never know what to say besides "thank you" and thats just seems so boring

Brush it off if it's the usual,beautiful hair or eyes comment.If it's something original,I blush and tend to glow for a bit.
