I think that truly the problem never leaves your hands until it is resovled in your mind and has no more meaning to you as a person. Telling a person your problem is only a way to seek advice on how to handle it or solve it. You have to answer the question your self , do i feel less stressed or do i still feeel the same.

Interesting question!
I would imagine it would depend on the person, which is why people answering see it going both ways.
If the burden of having the problem was what was stressing you, then removing that burden would reduce your stress.
But if it was the problem itself, you might become more stressed now that it's not in your hands.
There are people who WANT to be in charge; they would stress more when it's out of their hands.
There are people who want others to deal with things; they would be less stressed when it becomes someone else's problem.
A bit from the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy books came to mind: the Somebody Else's Problem field.
You could have the biggest mountain, painted blinding pink, but if you put a SEP field on it, no one would see it. They'd walk by it, and over it, but not notice it's there.

Actually yes. In my line of work I often tell clients that a problem shared is a problem halved. Those of us who believe in a higher spiritual power find the ability of acceptance assists us in dealing with all of lifes problems. Worrying never alleviates the problem anyway and half of what we obsess and think about never happens anyway.
I have come to the conclusion that saying the Serenity Prayer is the way to go through life.

If it is someone professional in that field, than I think it would definitely make me less stressed, not all the way, but at least less.

No,even if someone sits up with your worrys,at the end of the day its your choice that u have to make and no one else, they can give u advice, but your choice to take it,and if u take it,and was the wrong choice ,u have to sit up with the consequences the rest of your life

I don't know. I would think I'd be even more stressed because i'd worry about how that person would deal with my problems and when and if they seriously would...

That depends on who you gave it too, and whether or not you trust them to make the right decision about that problem. It could make things worse. or better.

well, then problems wouldn't consist because everytime someone gave you a problem of theirs, you would give it to someone else, it would be a never ending chain
