I think you ment (2x^2-2)/(x^2-6x-7)*(x^2-10x+21)

to solve that we get:

2(x-1)(x+1)(x-7)(x-3)/[(x-7)(x+1)]
the (x-7) & (x+1) terms cancel to get:
2(x-1)(x-3)
