defend the homeland. And if his "gut feeling" is right, does this mean we are losing the goal of attacking the terrorist over there so they can't attack us at home?

The troops coming here to fight terrorist was more of a joke. I was trying to bring up the absurdity of the idea we are fighting terrorism over there to prevent it here.

Ya know what....come talk to me after you go to the store and actually see a US Soldier...armed to the teeth...

You would rethink this question....These men and women are the best...but when you see them as they are in combat....be thankful they are on your side defending you....

And No...we're not losing the goal...but they are already here...have been since before 9/11....

There is always a possiblity that four guys can load a truck up with TNT and nails and set it off in front of the Sears Tower. How do you stop something like that? It happened in Oklahoma City and Timothy McVey wasn't even Muslim.

You stop it by making the people aware of the possibility so that they become more viligant (just like they were in London a few weeks back) not by putting armed troops on every street corner in the U.S.

Why don't you stop trying to find fault with everything this government does and support it every once in a while?

Thats an understatement. We don't even have a national guard left at home. It's all lies to create more fear in the masses. We are experiencing soft fascism at it's finest. If the US went on a red alert lock down Chertoff has more power than the president. Scary.
