Accept that fact that you are a moderate.

And about 40% of the population is "like you".

Really? I think most people are somewhere in the middle. You don't really have to agree with EVERYTHING on either side. Also Independents are kind of in the middle although I think they lean towards the liberals more often than conservatives. Libertarians are fiscally very conservative and socially very liberal but it may be too extreme for some.

You pick the top five issues of the day.

You decide which way you lean on each.

You compare which ones line up with the Liberal or Conservative position, and give them a weighted rating.

You add up the marks and vote Republican or Democrat.

You research what constitutional representation means, then dump the republocratic politicians(magicians!), then become a card carrying member of our Libertarian party. From there you will have learned to...Vote for Ron Paul & support OUR Libertarian party & it's candidates to take back YOUR country/freedoms!

Both Political Parties are financed and driven by the extremes.
I believe MOST of us are somewhere in the middle.
We need representation and don't have it.
I like to consider myself Conservative. I define a conservative as one who conserves.
I believe in conserving our established form of government. I believe our Founding Fathers were brilliant men with very high standards. They wrote a Constitution designed to keep power in the hands of the individual.
Tyrannical individuals have been trying to fight against that Constitution ever since. I bet each politician (with few exceptions) has parts of the constitution they just HATE even though they are sworn to uphold it.
It is designed to be changed but with tremendous effort, slowly and with extreme caution.
As a conservative I believe in change. To conserve is NOT to preserve.
Preservation means stagnation. If something needs preserving, it should be in a museum.
I believe in conserving the environment and resources, not wasting them. Use them with due caution and reverence. Excessive restrictions on their use will prevent progress.
I believe the government, due to the nature of politics, should not dictate or mandate technical change. They ALWAYS foul it up and make it cost MORE. They should give direction, set limits and boundaries, and let free enterprise deal with the technology. Industry will do it in a manner that creates an improved economy and more jobs.
I believe in free enterprise. It provides hope and opportunity.
I do not believe in unrestricted Capitalism (not to be confused with free enterprise, but defined as using money/capital to make money) because, though it provides finances for opportunity, it does not, in itself, produce a product, and leads to greed.
Tyrants hate America because American ideals prevent them from instituting the tyrannies they desire. They create specious arguments that get swollowed by ignorant masses who support their tyrannical actions for some gain that can only be enjoyed by an elite few who align themselves with the tyrant in charge.
I believe we must conserve American Independance.

If you support individual liberties like free speech, right to bear arms, etc, and economic freedom, then you could be a liberatarian. Democrats oppose capitalism, and sometimes support free speech (for themselves mostly), but oppose the 2nd Amendment. Republicans support capitalism, but have bought into the corporate welfare state with big government that is run by corporations. Libertarians want smaller government that is dedicated to defending individual liberty.

Stop looking at the titles and look at the people. Make a list of every candidate and find out who is most like you.
