Someone named after Hank Hill's dog died in Texas the other day and the stories describe her as a "Former First Lady". But I've been reading web sites of Presidential Candidates and both major political parties for years and haven't seen any mention of a President named "Johnson". Did she used to be married to Truman or Eisenhower or something?

LMAO

The minute LBJ left office the Democrats didn't waste any time in erasing all mention of his name from their Party History books. Johnson's own vice President Hubert Humphrey was so tainted by LBJ he lost to Nixon in '68 and couldn't even get the nomination to run against Nixon in '72., losing to, of all people, George McGovern who in turn gave Nixon a landslide victory.

By the time Jimma Cahtuh ran against Ford, the only former President he dared refer to was Nixon, if that tells you anything.

But oh those Democrats sure liked to remind us about Johnson's boss, John F. Kennedy.

Are you serious? Do they not teach American history in school anymore? And with all your supposed reading you didn't see anything on President Lyndon Johnson? He was the vice president to Kennedy in 1960 and then took over the presidency after the assasination of Kennedy in '63. In 1937 he was elected to the house of representatives on a New Deal platform, aided by his wife Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson.
Johnson was born in Texas and the Hills from the TV show, who also are in Texas, named their dog after his wife Claudia, otherwise known as "Lady Bird" Johnson. Now you know the rest of the story. Hope this helps!

Lyndon Baines Johnson was from Johnson City Texas. He was John F. Kennedy's vice president, and was elevated to the presidency by Kennedy's assassination. There is a famous picture of him being sworn in, and Jacqueline Kennedy is a witness still wearing the outfit that had John Kennedy's blood on it. Lady Bird Johnson was LBJ's wife, and was reknowned for her stance on beautifying the highways. She successfully lobbied for laws against billboards.

Lyndon Baines Johnson...LBJ..the one that covered up president Kennedys' assasination, he was Kennedy's vice president...he also formed the Warren Commison, that was all his local Texas boys to do the investigation on Kennedys' death..of course there was never a conclusion here other than using Oswald as a scapegoat...Immediately after the assasination he got on the "air force 1' presidential plane..had Kennedys' wife denied the right to fly back in it..and even went as far as having personal recliners moved in within 2 hours of the incident...Lady bird his wife, had many programs etc federally funded with millions of dollars, that were being funneled to LBJ for personal items.. Ohh yesss...he/she aren't what they are building them up to be...I lived on lake LBJ A public lake in the highland lake chains, and his ranch bordered(he named this lake after himself)..he had the whole lake roetnoned to kill off the fish to stock the fish of his personal likings..6,375 acres worth of rotting needlessly killed fish ugg.....Death seems to follow him...
