Ok, so I'm going to be traveling and won't be using my laptop. I'm scared something will happen to my battery though.
Should I leave it with the battery drained?
Should I leave it with the battery full?
Does it not matter at all?
It's not an external battery, so I can't just like take it off or anything.
There will be lots of people at home that I guess could turn it on once a week or whatever, but I really don't want to do that.
Sorry if this seems really stupid, but I just bought the darn thing and don't want to come back and see the battery is super weak (if that could happen).

it shouldnt make a difference. i just suggest shutting it down completely, unplugging it from any outlet (just in case a surge happens), and hiding it from view. (just make sure it wont get too hot). it wont matter what the status of the battery is, as long as you turn it COMPLETLEY off. start menu, shut down, etc. you can watch it shut down, if you are really that nervous. then just follow my instructions above, and you should be fine.
have fun traveling :)

If the battery is not removable (and 99% of them are), then just leave the computer setting unplugged while you are gone. Does not matter if it is charged or uncharged. Neither is better or worst for the battery. Neither does booting it once a week either help or hurt the battery.
