I'm 12 yrs old and my mom wouldn't let me wear makeup! All my friends can wear lipgloss and eyeshadow but mom won't let me until I'm 15!!!!!
Thats so unfair!
How can I change her mind?

She has her reasons. Accept that.

Yes it is fair. She's the adult. You're the child. That's how it is. Get over it.

You can change her mind by not whining about it. The more you temper tantrum, the less likely you'll get your way.

ALSO DO THESE:

Do your chores without complaint and without being asked.
Do your homework promptly
Make the best grades you can and if you need a tutor, ask for one.
Make the kind of friends your parents approve of.
Let your folks know where, with whom, when you return etc. whenever you go out with your pals.
Obey the house rules.

I think its a bit unfair. On the other hand, when I see young girls wearing makeup, they have NO idea how to wear it and they look like a porn star. Young girls always seem to leave makeup lines on their face from foundation. They have way messy eye liner and their mascara is too thick, eye shadow too dark, I'm not saying that you're exactly like that but you're mom probably just wants to make sure you don't go out looking like a fool. Personally, I think natural looks best. A little lip gloss and some eyeliner is okay but all the rest of that stuff is just stupid.

I'm 12 too i understand no eyeshadow it makes little kids look like freaks but as for cover-up eyeliner and lipgloss your mom should let you wear that p.s. what do friends look like w/makeup on-were young and wrinkle-free and we don't need all this crap to make us beautiful-i only wear lipgloss-i bet if u asked your mom if u could have lipgloss(chapstick)she would let u get some

Feel sorry for you I got 2 girls that are yonger than you and they use a ton of lipgloss. Does she not wear makeup? Does she let you wear lipsmackers? They have a million diffferent flavors and it leaves your lips shinny. Maybe suggest she can pick out a really light shade or show you how to do it. Because if she don't let you all your gonna do is end up doing that and other stuff behind her back.

Don't go with the angry approach.. Try and convince her to first let you wear clear lipgloss. Say "mom its clear, you cant see it" or tell her that it helps moisturize your lips.. then slowly pick up lipglosses in the stores that are light colors and ask her what she thinks.. look for things that are skin tone almost and work your way darker.. not too dark that too flashy.. tell her not to worry cuz you dont want to wear a lot..just lipgloss and eye light eye shadow or something. Say please and tell her that you'll let her see what colors she likes and pick out somethings together..
hope it works..
make up isnt all that great . and if you do get to wear some remove it at night to keep you skin healthy and clean. k

I think every girl goes through this period. I wasn't allowed to wear make up or nail polish when I was young. It got better because I was able to talk my dad into letting me wear tinted chapstick or clear nail polish. But for the most part I just had to wait it out until their minds changed. You have your whole life to wear make up. And to some it is an addiction so be happy that you don't have to deal with it now.

Ahh, this is a toughy. When I was younger and wanted something from my parents, I always tried to compromise with them. For example, you could suggest wearing only lip gloss at first, and waiting on the eye shadow. Or you could compromise and say "how about I not wear it to school, but can wear it when we go to the mall," or vise versa. Try to come up with a "deal" of sorts, and as you get a little bit older and more mature, they will see you can handle it and possibly let you wear more.
Good luck, girl! :D

Tell her that you really want to have a good relationship with her, and you dont want to start fighting with her already, and have a horrible relationship when your older. And that starts now..if she gives a little bit so will you....and that you love her..but this is just unfair..you;re older now and you want to try new things.. you will only wear a little and she can check before you leave for school or go out..to see if its too much

I know this seems strict but be really cooperative and sweet about it...it will pay off..and you will get more freedom.

Compromise. Start with the Bonne Bell lipsmackers. Clear mascara by Maybelline will give you the feel of mascara without the color. If you go online to the makeup sites and show her this stuff, she may bend the rules a bit.

just tell her that lipgloss is like chapstick but it feels better. lipgloss shouldn't really be a big deal. also let her know that all of your friends are starting to wear makeup and you want to be able to fit in.
