Could be any of the following.....
.....a bad tie rod.
.....lug nuts loose.
.....need an alignment.
.....tires need to be balanced.
.....may need a new tire or tires in the rear.
.....CV joint.
....ball joint.

I've had all these happen at different times. You should go have your front end checked out and not drive your car around. If a cv joint or tie rod breaks, it's going to be bad.
Good Luck.

It could be a number of things.

It seems you ruled out front tires.

If it is suspension due to a failed/broken part. I would consider it unsafe to drive....

If it happens more so when the brakes are applies probably brake rotors are warped.

Its really hard to say with out experiencing it personally. Since you asked is it safe I would assume you dont feel comfortable with it.

I STRONGLY suggest that you have some one with some experience or a shop thake it for a drive. No car is worth risking you life for...

Good Luck & Be Safe

You probably need rear tires too. Get a penny and put in the tread of the tire Lincolns head should be covered half way if the tires are good.

Bent/damaged wheel, tires out of balance, alignment, bad struts, ball joints, can all cause these symptoms. Get it to a shop to get it checked. No, it is not safe.

You need to take it in for repairs. This is a serious issue, unsafe. You will also ruin your new tires by driving it that way.
