Sorry, you can't delete files on recordable.... Your CD has to be a a Rewritable for you to be able to delete files on them. However, you can add files to a recordable CD if the CD is not closed by the software or the option you used to write it. To be able to add additional files to your CD, you can use multisession option if you are using Nero burner... but if you have a recordable, it would only record your files, you can not rewrite on the track again...

Finally if you decide to use Nero, and the CD did not use Nero previously, by the time you write on the CD, the previous data may not be readable again.

Good luck

I'm a computer half-wit. I'll tell you that, if the CD is just CD-R, yer out of luck except for playing Captain Destructo. If it's a CD-RW, then just treat it as a normal disk and go out there and erase or record over or format or (even) play Captain Destructo. There's always room for melting. While not Earth-friendly (?!?) you may enjoy it. They make great frisbees, too. Cup-holders, coasters, some folks use'em for jewelry, they're sort of passable mirrors...?
