If anyone watched the Presidents "news conference" this morning, can anyone tell us what plane of reality he walks through, what fairy-tale cloud does he live on or what planet he has dropped down from?
He says things are going well? He says that he must protect the "constituency" of the military, military families, and the enemy???? He says, in effect, that our opinion doesn't count and we simply don't have what it takes to "understand" what is going on and what is needed???
Does anyone have any opinions about what he had to say - or bumble through this morning??
I try to be objective when listening to him..I WANT to believe that he knows what he is doing..but, folks, it just doesn't happen.
I'd love to hear from you guys....seriously - without rancor. Give us your take on it.....

You are a nice lady, BarB, and you want to have coherent answers on a delicate subject.
There is no plausible answer, or answer that could make sense to sensible people.
It's actually a disconnect with politicians and those who put them in office at the ballot box.
I'm just biding my time, it's something like 580 more days to go. When he speaks, it's to his "base", not to me.
That "base" is just what they were looking for.

Nobody can understan the president. So answering your question is impossible. He doesn't even know what he is talking about. But I bet if you watch the news later Tony Snow will be explaining to us stupid citizens what the president was saying all the while looking down on us like we are bumbling morons, yet it's Bush who is a bumbling moron.

Although I'm neither Republican or Democrat, I am a conservative. Having said that, my favorite means of evaluating a politician is to turn off the sound and watching 'body language' alone decide if you would but a used car from the person. 'W' leaves me choosing to walk.

I think Slapnut is giving Bush too much credit. I think Bush has fallen into the trap of that other lying George on TV, Seinfeld's Costanza: "It's not a lie... if you believe it." Bush now believes his own ridiculous, proven-false statements, so maybe he's not "lying."

I don't know what "plane" of reality he walks through. I do know that he flies on a plane called Air Force One.
I'm just joking around BarB.
Don't get P.O.'d at me.
It's all science-fiction anyway.

He is off his rocker as usual and nothing he says makes much sense . Someone should hook him to the back of a plow horse and let him do a few days worth of real work .

I like to watch him because he makes me laugh. He makes up the silliest words. Do I take him seriously, no.
