Hey there.
Hmmm. I think you mean the following.
1/(x+5)+2=5/(x+5).
I'll solve that equation for x.
1/(x+5)+2=5/(x+5) --> Write the problem.
2=4/(x+5) --> Subtract 1/(x+5) on both sides of the equation.
2(x+5)=4 --> Multiply x+5 on both sides of the equation.
x+5=2 --> Divide 2 on both sides of the equation.
x=-3 --> Subtract 3 on both sides of the equation.
Since the restricted value of the equation is -5 and -5 does not equal to -3, the solution of the equation is x=-3.
Hope it helps!

For the first line x <> 0 (Different To Zero)
1/x + 5 + 2 = 5/x + 5
1/x + 2 = 5/x
-1/x + 5/x = 2
4/x = 2
x = 2
Proof:
1/2 + 7 = 5/2 + 5
7.5 = 2.5 + 5
7.5 = 7.5

To avoid wrong answers, brackets are required:-
1 / (x + 5) + 2 = 5 / (x + 5)
1 + 2 (x + 5) = 5
1 + 2x + 10 = 5
2x = - 6
x = - 3
PS
Notice the number of different answers you are receiving because brackets have not been used in the question!

1. Multiply every term in the eqaution by x to get:
1+5x+2x = 5+5x
2. Combine like terms to get:
1+7x=5+5x
3. Subtract 5x from both sides to get:
1-5x+7x=5+5x-5x
1+2x=5
then subtract 1 from both sides to get:
1-1+2x=5-1
2x=4
x=2 after you devide both sides by 2
so your answer is 2. And note how I carefully selected what to subtract in order to endup with an equation that has x's on one side of the equals sign and numbers on the other.

i am asuming that the/ are
suppose to be { instead such as: 1{x +5+2} = 5 {x +5}
x + 7= 5x + 25
combine like terms and you get
4X = 25- 7
4X = 18
x = 4.5
