If you had a c-section scheduled did your doctor still check to see if you were dilating? I know every doctor is different.

Most will. I went into labor the morning of my planned c-section. They don't want any suprises going into the OR.

I had a planned c-section and my doctor checked my dilation. She said it was important to know everything that was going on with my body.

some wellness practitioner do in no way verify for dilation till you're due or having contractions. truly there's no actual desire in any different case. on account which you would be dilated a pair of centimeters for weeks without giving delivery. And conversely you're able to desire to no longer be dilated in any respect and supply delivery in some hours (however quite uncommon) With my first newborn i replaced into attempting for a vaginally delivery. She advised my checking for dilation replaced into as much as me. i desperate against it. I basically did no longer see the factor. And with my 2d I wasn't checked the two. i replaced into scheduled for a repeat c-section at 39 weeks and did no longer have any contractions on the tip of the being pregnant so there replaced into no desire.
