Yes, there are a lot of lifestyles that I don't agree with, but I don't hate the people who live that way.

"Many Homosexuals and their supporters often call Christians names like “bigot” “Hate monger” “homophobe” etc. Its as though they assume that since Christians believe that homosexuality is sinful they automatically hate and fear all homosexuals."
you assume that all homosexuals dislike/attack christians, which is wrong, as there are gay christians, aswell as people like me whom are open minded and are able to refrain from attacking such ( my best friend is a christian!)
you also assume that all christians consider it a sin, or a choice, which is wrong, because not all christians do.
the problem here, is that you're calling it a lifestyle, it's not a lifestyle, it's a life. There isn't a "style", or an "inbetween" we are just PEOPLE, with a different orientation in sexuality, we aren't living some wierd lifestyle, that is only what you -think-, and that is where you are wrong, and by posting this question here you are stating your question as if fact, which is slightly ignorant don't you think? and ignorance is a key characteristic of bigotry.
"If it is possible then why do people automatically assume that Christians hate Gays?"
they don't all do that, some perhaps, but not all, just as some christians do hate gays, it's only some, and not the whole group.
"If it is not possible then I guess all Homosexuals and their supporters must hate Christians and therefore they are no better than Christians, they are hateful bigots who cannot tolerate other people’s lifestyle. "
you choose to believe in a god and religion, just as i did when i was little, but i've since lost my faith, i don't believe in a god anymore, however since i've been born, i've not once been able to change my sexuality, ever, and i've now lost the desire to do so.
and just because i no longer believe in a god, doesn't mean that i trample on other peoples beliefs,as it's our believes that form a part of who we are as people, in exactly the same way as sexuality, they are both parts of us as human beings and should be respected, just as with race and genders.
"Just seems to me that tolerance should be a two way street."
it is, think about it, everyone has to put their hand forward, christians, muslims, gays, straights, absolutley everyone, and mabye one day we can all be free of bigotry, war, hatred, and all the things which cause suffering and pain, and finally be united for what we are, human beings.
thank you, have a nice day.

Any distaste that goes toward Christianity is usually as a result of the very extreme religious view points, that, unfortunately, there are quite a few of those people. I don't dislike all Christians, since the majority of my friends are so. I dislike Christianity as a whole personally, but I would never say it to their face unless they picked a bad bone with me, and even then, I'm not usually that kind of person.
You can object to the lifestyle, but I would keep it to yourself. Don't tell anyone else, treat -everyone- the same, then I don't think there would be a problem. But even then, what a sad outlook.

Easy. Calling people names is deflecting the argument so the argument is about defending whether or not someone is a "Racist, Bigot, or Homophobe". It's a tactic to win an argument through intimidation. The scary thing is that it works.
The same hold true to so-called "Hate Speech". There is no such thing, you can't define it, it threatens others to stifle or go to jail. All speech is protected by the first amendment as all rights are absolute and not limited on others subjective interpretations on what is "hate" and what is not.
Under these subjective rules you'll find that they never engage in so-called "hate" speech, but people they don't like regularly engage in "hate" speech.

We have no problems as long as the so called haters keep their hatred to themselves, and not take it upon themselves set the world right just because a religious text tells them to. And we certainly don't consider all Christians to be homophobic bigots. I am sure if you meet and interact with more of us, you will feel differently about who we really are as people.

We dont automatically call all christians or people of religous faith bigots or things of that nature. We do know that the ones who start disrepecting us are the ones that are bigots. they are the ones who promote their hate. And tell us that we are sick and wrong etc. But we dont call every christian bigots, we all know of christians who truely show the light of christ and they do not judge us. Like every culture you get the bad seeds that ruin it for everyone. We dont go into the other forums telling all christians that they are wrong for being christians or go to every straight forum and telling them they are sick for being sick...they come to us to try and delittle our life...and that my friend is sick. We accept everyone for who he or she is. We just want the same respect. Of course not everyone is going to agree with ones lifestyle but why are you going to tell them that you think they are wrong for living this way and not that way? when someone else might think that your lifestyle is wrong?

A person can hold any beliefs that they want, no matter how baseless and unscientific those beliefs are.
However, when one crosses the line and ATTACKS another based on this belief, or "damns them to hell" just for being exactly as God made them, then one has committed hate speech and shown evidence of bigotry.
How can someone who professes to be "christian" defame any of God's children, or any of God's gifts to them? This is certainly 100% opposite of Jesus' teachings of love and tolerance.
In short, hold any beliefs you want. Just keep them to yourself, and we'll all get along fine.
I don't hate any Christians, or anyone. I just pray for people who preach hatred and bigotry to return to the light and to Jesus.

Of course you can! We should make it a practice of loving everyone. We may not like the things they do, but we shouldn't hate them because of it. I think it's possible.

Christians don't just hate homosexuality, they hate ALL sexuality.
You can disagree with someones sexual preference, but what's the point? What other people do in their bedrooms has nothing to do with you. Why would you even care unless there was something there that interested you...?

My answer is somewhat off-topic, but....
I objected a little to my teenager wearing a raccoon tail on his pants to high school - but I didn't hate him for it.
Does that count?
