one of the problems is like wolfgang92 said is the motivation ot the terrorists. for one second forget about the middle east and think what are we doing at home? everyone is in this "let bush hang" idea and the terrorists are using this to there advantage. what is stopping one from going into a forest and using a cellphone bomb, there is about 1000 firefighters on the job and four or five days before that one problem stops or even slows down. we do need to beef up security but to an extent we don't want to take away too much rights. now get the immigrants(illegals only) out of here and get security (even non-government or even civilian) down there. and last we need to stop with the finger pointing game we are all playing we are just helping them more we all need to come together and decide what to do our selves at thew next election.now lets go back over seas and think "What do we do?". We have used Sat. photos and found bases and gone in and took them out of operation we need to keep it up. we then need find out what to do about the Iraq thing...If we pull out now there will be a masacur and that is not what we do.

Republicans say start wars with Muslim nations. Since we have only had what, 4 failed attempts since 9/11. Let's ignore the fact that there have only been Muslim terrorist attacks in this country once every 10 years before 9/11. The Iraq war is great for keeping us safe here.

I have a CRAZY idea. Stay with me. How about finding Bin Laden? I know, I must be off my rocker right? And when you kill him, how about going after #2, then #3, and where we are spending pennies of the dollar spent in Iraq, we could actually KILL TERRORISTS WE DIDN'T TURN INTO TERRORISTS BY INVADING IRAQ!!!

Kill all the families of terrorists when they commit suicide or an overt combat action against us. Let them realize that they are not doing any good for their families, and they will think twice about commiting suicide etc.

Alot of the terrorists are committing these acts so their families will receive special favors and be taken care of. If they really are zealots and believe they will go to paradise for commtting suicide bombings, then we will know for sure, because if they know they will commit their families to death by committing suicide bombings, then logic would tell us they wouldn't be doing it just to take care of their families.

That and shut down the anti-Western schools they have set up all over the Middle East, use the De-Nazification programs we used so effectively after WWII. Of course, we had to occupy them to pull it off effectively.

Sadly, we won't do either of the above, so we will just have to keep vigilant and remember that it starts at home too. If you think someone is a possible badguy, even something slight, report them to the FBI, let the FBI decide if it is a false alarm.

1- make allies in the middle east-
we do have saudi arabia but many terrorists came from that country and the governement isn't helping us persue the ones hiding there. we were recommended to befriend Iran and Syria.

2- apply the security suggestions from the 9/11 commision-
the commision pointed out all the area where we were weak on security and explained how to fix them, very few have been put into place. we still only randomly search less than 10% of incoming cargo. It would be easy for something -or someone -dangerous to be transported. (if we can have slaves brought in, terrorists can get someone to sneak them here as well)

3- bring our soldiers home to protect us here

4- stop occupation and bombing in the middle east -
the 9/11 comminsion says this has made it hard for us to have allies and made it easier for terrorist groups to convince people to hate us and be sympathetic to their 'causes'.
we should try to decrease anti-american feelings and international tensions

at first i was gonna talk about how all the terrorist are muslim and males between 18 and 40, but i´ll do a 180 and go the other direction.

Europe, over the last +500 was the worlds most unstable region, every few years somebody was at war and they were just all over the world doing unspeakable things to tons of nations.... it took 2 of the most deadly wars in human history to stabilize europe... now, 50 years after WW2, Europe is booming....

during these last 50 years, there was a shift in the unstable region into the Middle-east... and it is this region that is causing the instability throughout the world....

a quick fact: 2 democratic nations have never been at war....

once europe turned democratic, there were no more wars... maybe we could use this HUGE history lesson and apply it to the Middle east... (what dub-ya is trying to do)

terrorism has no place in democratic societies...

I suspect trying to prevent an attack is fa more complicated than we can know here. I am surprised another attack hasn't occured since, an attack orchestrated by Al Qaeda since 9/11. I suspect it is because of tightened security. But really, if one is willing to give up their own life to take the lives of others, how can, in the long run, terrorist attacks be totally eradicated?
