Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You can get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyway?

Poor you who's so bored at school!

I work in a school and the number of pupils who are banned from internet access is rising because they go out of their way to circumvent the system. It p*sses off their classmates, their teachers and me because I have to fix the damage that they do.

The school gets grief from their parents because they feel it is an infringement of the pupils rights.

Well it's not. School property is not owned by the pupils, even those whose parents pay the full whack of fees. You either abide by the rules or you lose access.

I don't know what age you are but if you're getting ready for GCSEs or A-Levels, you'll be lost without access to a computer for your coursework - but that's your loss.

If you take advice from the numpties supplying the means to get around your school system, I hope you are caught and punished accordingly.

if you do manage to get to myspace with one of the sites provided here. the school it person will just block it. and report it to the school administrator and you'll lose you privilege to use the internet at school and you'll have to do any web research you need to do for classwork at home on your time. do your schoolwork at school and save you socailizing for when you get home and can do it on your on computer.
schools block socail sites so you'll do schoolwork on their time and also to keep viri and adware out of their network.

You're meant to be at school for learning ... not playing about on social networking sites.

Carry on this way and you're going to end up another waster.
