Doesn't really matter, but each one has its risk.
If you use online, there's a chance that your info will get stolen if Nintendo's site gets hacked. Just remember that XBL got its site hacked by hackers pretending to be someone and MS gave them a bunch of info.
If you buy the card, there's a chance that someone could have written down the number and used it already. I don't know if stores uses the same method as iTunes where it has to activate the card before anyone can use it. If that's the case, it's safe. But if all the numbers are active, then there's a chance that someone could have written down the numbers and used it already.

DON'T LISTEN TO THE OTHERS!! Nintendo's site is not going to get hacked so don't worry about that stupid excuse. Buy your wii points online...you'll save money. At a store they sell a 2000 points card(20.00$ online) for more than 20$. Stick to online...it'll save you money.

You might not be able to buy it at some walmarts but all only games stores have it for sure

you can find the cards in Walmart, Ebgames/Gamestop, Target, or best buy

i would get them at gamestop b/c they have a pice of cardboard on display so people cant rite down codes and them use em
