Seems like a simple question, right? Is it intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual, or some combination of the four? If you are lacking one of the 4 are you really in love? or will that love last a lifetime? What are your thoughts?

There are many different types of answers to this.

Yet to someone who is able to find someone who loves one as much as one loves the other, the simply form of answer would be - love is selfless.

Yes, it is just made of two words, loving and giving.

Loving means providing love to the person you care about, and that it translates to all types of loving mannerisms, such as everyday hugs and kisses, telling each other how much you love you have for him/her or even gestures of love on special moments such as anniversaries, and birthdays.

Giving is the art of selfless giving, such as being forgiving of one flaws (because no one is perfect anyway) and giving the best of everything to someone you truly love - even at the expense of sacrificing oneself.

Love can definitely last for a lifetime, provided you remember the essence of love itself - i.e. loving and giving - never asking anything in return which is akin to a parents' love for their children and you will find yourself being so much more contented in being able to love and be loved!

I believe it's all 4 but I just say Mind, Body, Heart and Soul. I do believe that you can still really love a person even if you are missing something love is love it's hard to put in to actual terms. Everybody has there own terms what you may think is love someone else may not love is different for everybody but I kinda agree with the Bible quote someone else mentioned.

To me love is....you don't have to say your sorry. It's a very sacred words that none of us really thought what's the meaning of the words. And when you have this feeling of love, you will do everything and anything to protect that person. You will sense the thought of your partner, and it will make your heart fonder...

Love just is...It is love when the partner’s happiness is important to you. The more important, the more in love you are. Sometimes it reaches the point where the partner’s happiness is more important than you own: true love? Lust is when it is all about how you feel and he/she is just a fantasy in your mind.

Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

! Corinthians 13:4-7
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
