I was told by my father who was born in 1891 that the rumor about elephants being afraid of mice came from the circus world. In the circuses, elephants were kept in small stalls and mice were common (food and water was readily available so mice thrived).
Elephants don't like mice and would attempt to scare the mice away or take other action. When an elephant makes a move, due to size, it gets impressive very quickly.
The elephants didn't like mice because, while the elephants were resting, mice would occasionally run into their trunks to hide.
I wouldn't want a mouse in my nose either!

Like many people have said elephants are not afraid of mice.
Sperm whales do not eat plankton, sperm whales are more like dolphins, orcas, and narwhales in that they eat larger prey. Sperm whales have been found with the remains of giant squid in their stomachs and scars from their suckers on their hides.
You are thinking of blue whales or humpback whales eating plankton.

You are totally wrong!
It's just on cartoons where elephants are afraid of mice.
Sperm whales feeds on quite large fish (tuna), squids and octopuses; sperm whales have very good teeth, which a regular whale has not!

very easy, the first relationship is nonsense (cartoon myth) the second is like any other relationship, lions feed on deer, giraffes eat leaves, sperm whales eat plankton. Its the circle of life.

I saw on the history, or dicovery, or animal planet channel that in b.c. times, people would use pigs to scare off war elephants, not mice.

elephants are not afraid of mice, there is almost no "relationship" whatsoever between an elephant and a mouse other than both are mammals.
