I agree with you. The government has the power that the people gave it. We also have a right to shut it down if it no longer functions in the way it was originally designed to do. How should we go about tackling this bull? What we have at the present is a chimp that thinks he is some sort of royalty and that the laws of the land, laws that he helped create don't apply to him, but they DO apply to everyone else. How could we have let things get so out of control? Now what should we do about the chimp???

If people fear the government they are uneducated. The government is in OUR control. If you just sit there and don't vote, and don't educate yourself about issues and candidates, and don't take actions based on your opinions and beliefs, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

An educated, active public is what we need, and any elected politician would fear that, because the public and the politicians would know that the elected officials are accountable to the public and that they serve because WE select them.

so true, Bush has already said if he declares martial law he has full dictatorial powers, i dont doubt he'd enact them either. Also remember fear the gov't that fears your gun.
