Sushi is advised not to eat raw. You have higher chances of getting listeria, salmonella, and other sicknesses which may pass on to the baby. You can eat cooked sushi, but again some fishes (tuna, shell fish, etc.) may contain mercury which is harmful as well. General rule, Cook all foods well done, that way you kill all germs. When I was preggers I never ate sushi, or high mercury food. I LOVE sushi, but it all comes down to what more important.

Nope, cant have sushi. If youre talking about the real sushi...raw fish. Thats a no no. You can have the cooked rolls, but you have to be careful because they are prepared the same place a the raw stuff is. So its still a risk. Sushi has been my biggest thing that Ive missed being pregnant and the moment the baby is born, my husband is going to get me some tuna! :) As far as Disney goes, yes you can go. Just cant ride the rides, and make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. Have fun and congrats on your pregnancy!

Best thing is to check with your doctor, but I would suggest staying away from sushi just to be safe. Disney should be o.k. as long as you're careful about what rides you go on. If it says " No pregnant women", well, that means you. The smaller rides should be o.k., but no going on Space Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad or The Matterhorn.

Have fun at Disney!

Ok, let me give you some correct information.

Sushi is a rice roll wrapped with dried seaweed. It can contain anything inside from raw fish to cucumber.

Sashimi is the slices of raw fish normally served either on a square of sushi rice or simply on their own.

That said, YES you can have sushi, but you need to avoid the rolls containing raw fish. There are MANY differnt types of rolls that contain cooked fish or just plain veggies. Simply ask your server to point you towards the ones that do not contain raw fish. A perfect example is the California roll, which contains cooked crab meat, avacado, and cucumber. You can get rolls containing fried shrimp or fish too. Shrimp is always cooked when used in sushi.

So go on out and enjoy sushi when you desire, just watch out for the raw fish ones.

Best of luck to you and you're upcoming bundle of joy!!!

SUSHI have raw fish on it so therefore it is not safe to eat. You can eat california rolls because those have cooked crab meat in it! And you can go to disney as long as you avoid the rollercoaster rides and rides that are bumpy. Have fun

No RAW fish. You can have any sushi that is cooked, the raw fish carries bacteria that your baby's tummy can't handle.

This also goes for non-pasturized cheeses like gorgonzola, blue cheese, brea, etc.

You are still in a place to be physically active, but within reason. You might find rides make you "sea sick" so take it easy.

i went to a healthy pregnancy class, and there she said that sushi is controversial. if you KNOW that it's made with high quality sushi grade fish, then it should be fine in limited quantities (average of 12 oz of seafood a week is the limit).

as for disneyland, you'll have to check out any warnings, a lot of rides may be unsafe.

NO!!! Never eat anything raw especially fish when you are pregnant as when you cook food it kills off any harmful bacteria that may be present in the food. I have had two kids am well researched in food hygiene and pregnancy nutrition so if you want to chat some more you can IM me or e-mail me, I'd be more than happy to help.

I went to Disney when I was 5 weeks pregnant with my first. All I rode was the Dumbo ride and the Haunted Mansion. They will have signs up saying you can not ride the rides if pregnant.

Try this website, they tell you everything you need to know, what to eat and what to avoid, I don't think sushi is a good idea as some fish contains mercury and other harmful stuff.
