annoying browser hijacking. On a personal note, has anyone noticed that there is a lot of spyware sent out by companies who remove spyware. Isn't that like norton sending out virus's and then patching them. Who knows, maybe they do.
try AdAware - it's a free spyware remover (and it doesn't come with spyware)
If the problem is still there, use hijackthis. The community at spywareinfo is very helpful.

Youve been search hijacked. by entering just the name youtube.com IE defaults to searching for that site and it searches using those urls. probably logging your activity or something.; could be some spyware just to see what sites you go to.
you could just put the whole thing http://www.youtube.com and you shouldnt have a problem.
Im at work so I cant look it up but do a search for changing the deafult search engine in IE you should be able to fix it.

Yup, you have a virus, do you have any anti-virus or anit-spyware progams installed on your computer?
On my web site there are some reviews for free anti-virus and and anti-spyware programs, I suggest you install them and run them in the SAFE MODE, this will clean up your system.

Download ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com and do a full system scan. I get the problem that you're having every now and again and ad-aware usually gets rid of the malware for me.

That sounds like you have been infected with Smitfraud-C.Toolbar888.
Go to one of the free scan sites and get an online scan/fix then get Spybot and uninfect your box.
