I called the dr. who in turn had me call poison control. They said relax, and try remover and if that didn't work, vaseline applications and rub. If all else failed, it will wear off. So if poison control isn't worried, neither am I. :)

My 4 year old brother did the same only he used neon green. We used plain old acetone.( I am in school to be a biomedical engineer so I have that kinda stuff laying around) Try adding it to the shampoo and really wash her hair over and over again. Put olive oil or vegetable oil in her hair to make sure all the stuff won't damage her hair.If the polish does come out it will slide right on down. For the body soak it in some baking soda and vinegar and the remover. Then try and a peel or scrape off her body ( this works better for the thick parts) For the ultra thin spots try and soak it in the nail polish remover for a while and pray it comes off. Just keep working on her scrubbing really hard. After wards apply lots of lotion to her body because it will be really red and irritated. I have more solutions so feel free to IM or email me ( you click on the avatar for the links)

Hope this helps : )

BTW: The doctor won't tell you squat, just try an keep it from her face. Acetone can be erosive on the skin but only poisonous if swallowed.

I find the nail polish remover to be the bad part. I use nail polish designed for kids on my daughter. You can get them at the dollar store. They wear off easy so you don't have to use the harshness of the nail polish remover. Also only put it on every so often, like a special treat. Having it on all the time doesn't allow the nail to breath properly and since she's growing and developing that's really important. But I've been putting it on my daughter since she was about 1yr old.

Put her back in the tub. You have to let her sit the longest u can and make the water as warm as you can. Use a really really soapy towel and gently rub the polish off after she has sat in the tub for a while. I can't believe you were told nail polish remover. That is really harsh on a child's skin, even harsh on adults. good luck.

Have you tried nail polish remover? I know that it has a strong smell, just becareful not to get it in her eyes. Put it on a cotton ball or old wash cloth and gently work it out. Be sure to wash her hair thouroughly and even use a conditioner to help protect her hair. I hope this helps.

You can buy creams that remove all sorts of stuff.
Nail polish remover should work. Mix it with bicarbonate of soda and lemon juice. That should help with the smell and to remove the polish.
Good Luck!

How about calling the doctor and asking if there is anything you can use first before you make a visit. If they tell you to come in then do so.

Chill.....just let it dry and it will just peel right off of the skin.

The hair may be a bit more of a problem for you.

I strongly suggest you go to the doctor, becuase if you use a lot of nail polish remover around young kids, the fumes could hurt them. Don't take any chances, go staright to the doctor. Best of luck hun.

Hey.

I remember my mom telling me that it's very bad when kids use nail polish on their nails because they get poisining. So if its on their hole body that must be bad. I'd recommend going to the doctor. This might just be serious.
