Okay, long story short, there is a chick that I have been teamed up with in class. She is a blast to be around, and I would like to hang out more with her, but she's gay. I want to hang out with her outside of class, but I don't want her to get the wrong idea. What should I say or do I even need to say anything?

Just hang out with her! Be a friend. The topic will most definitely come up on its own, and when it does, you'll just say it then. Either that or just make sure you tell her when you think that some guy is cute. She'll get the hint. Then just enjoy the friendship!

Do you have male friends that you hang out with with out them getting the wrong idea? Why should it be any different with this girl? If you had a male friend that started liking you but you only wanted to be friends with him how would you tell him? The same thing should apply.

I would just hang out with her like you would any new friend. Maybe talk about a boy you like or something so she gets that it's a friendship only. Good luck!

Hello,i am a male and i also find myself with a gay friend and in an equally embarrassing situation as yours.it may seem like a cop out ,but say nothing at first,the fact that you are not making any advances at her will make her aware that yours is a platonic friendship but if an uncomfortable situation arises best to use humor to diffuse it ,such as .....jokingly say "get away from me i don't like you that much" he.... he......etc.....
then and only then if that that has'nt worked you tell your (girl) friend to back off! i doubt it will ever get to that as she is n ot going to be dumb enough to risk your friendship by being amorous.hope it all goes well for you.

hang out with her like you would with any other friend.don't say right out that you're not gay at first as it might hurt her feelings but talk about all the guys you like and maybe she gets the idea.if she doesn't and she asks you just tell her flat our:you are not gay nor are you interested in becoming gay.

Well make this clear in the very beginning, it might offend her at first but truth be it she probably doesn't even look at you that way, just be yourself and everything will work out for a good friendship.

I'm sure she knows your straight. And unless she hits on you you don't have to make it clear. But I'm sure you will talk to her about guys, just make sure you are willing to listen to her talk about chicks.
