Use the pseudo-pride trick. Pretend to be offended. At a question which you don't wanna face. If the person is ur friend, they wil b desperate and it will work.
If someone orders u to do smth, do it, but make the end result quite unwanted(for the commander).
Talk in such a way that you are rightly accusing the person and defending urself in an almost right way. Try to look like you have the situation under control, even if you actually don't.
