Well, since the U.S. government have committed terrorism and supported terrorists in the past then why should we stop now with Israel?

All of our foreign aid is going directly to Israeli's military and they use the weapons to commit terrorist attacks against Palestinians. Let's keep in mind that Israel provoked certain Palestinians into committing suicide bombs. Palestinians have nothing but mere rifles and they feel as if they have nothing but their bodies to defend themselves against the Israeli's. military equipment.
However, they (suicide bombers) have created a bigger problem for themselves. Now, Israel can show the world that Palestinians deserve what is happening to them and that they are untermenschen (German word for sub-human).
We (Americans) and the rest of the world only see one side of the story. Perhaps we should start to look past the rhetoric of our governments and actually question what is being told to us instead of obediently and blindly swallowing the words spoken by our government.

Apartheid Israel? Lets see in Israel over a million Palestinians and Arabs live a modern life, are able to enjoy the human rights, women's rights, gay rights, and civil rights, provided by a modern state. In fact there are Muslims in the Israeli government. In the Palestinian territories that have had to be walled off from Israel in order to prevent the mid evil savages who live there from strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up school kids at bus stops not 1 Jew can live in peace. You really have bought the propaganda, haven't you?

Our support for Israel is a duty. There is not apartheid in Israel - perhaps you need to read a bit before coming out to the playground for recess.

Strange as it may sound, the support of conservatives for Israel is primarily religious. They believe that for Jesus to return and the end times to come, Israel must be ruled by the Jews. This is spelled out in the Book of Revelations. Of course, the growing antipathy toward Islam in the US also tends to increase support for one of our few allies in that part of the world.

We aren't against foreign aid.

We are against foreign aid to countries who will not align themselves as friends or allies of the USA.

Israel is NOT an Apartheid regime. It is defending itself against numerous groups that wish to wipe it from the map.

Whether they intend to do it by outright war (Iran) or by infiltration and terrorist action (Palestinians), Israel is reacting to valid threats to its existence.

The distinction is: it's mostly military aid. It's not to help poor or displaced starving people. One exception: about 340 million per year goes to Israelis who fled Russia 20 years ago and who still can't get on their feet though they live in a rich country. So I need to qualify my statement. Humanitarian aid to other countries is allowed as long as the recipients don't really need it.

"apartheid Israel", that's rich! The only country in the middle east that has consistently tried to negotiate with terrorists, have given land to them and have endured suicide bombing of their civilians.

Sorry pal, that dog don't hunt.

I have not heard conservatives say they against all foreign aid. One conservative may be against aid for some specific thing but not against all aid of any kind.

You know Egypt is the #2 recipient of foreign aid. Are you against that too?

Because "so called" conservatives aren't conservatives, they are so called. REAL conservatives might be against it because we want to conserve those funds for ourselves and our allies.

You can always start another "We Are the World" campaign if you like.
