That example is a form of power over someone. Especially, if you succumb.
The person obviously thinks you're an easy target who would do favours for them.

Well, that depends. I think if you're too busy, than you should say, I got my stuff to do first. Also I would love to, but I can't. If the person says like something threatening, then you should say something like, I'm sorry I can't and tell someone if he or she injures you. If a person keeps asking you you can say, I'm busy. Or if that someone is your boss that's making you do her work, just say, Sir or Ma'am, can't you do it right now because I'm busy. That's what I could say. If that person is authority Say politely, the same with family, friends, or even enemies. If threatening, call police. Look up that question in an advice book.

Depends on what the favour was & who was asking.I'm a very confident person who isn't afraid of saying no, so if i didn't want to help them out then i wouldn't.

I'm quite assertive and if it is something that I don't want to do or if they are just passing off their own work onto me I tell them that I can;t do it, however if at work I have very little to do and a very busy colleague asks me to help them out I do because it's only fair (if they've nothing to do themselves then I say no)

Thats hardly an example of being overpowered. It's more of a minor irritation. I'd tell them to ram it.
