I live in a rather small apartment as well, and had planned on saving everything. However, I soon realized there was simply no room to do so. I ended up keeping the special outfits, or the ones that I would dress a future baby in, and selling the rest. I was able to buy my son a whole new wardrobe, some new toys, and a jumperoo that I otherwise my not have been able to get. I would highly recomend selling the clothes that are just clothes, and use the money to get new things for your little one. I would not, however, recomend ebay. It is an auction, and you never know how they will sell. You may end up with having to sell them very cheeply. I would try craigslist.org this site is wnderful, and posting is free. You can set the price, and not have to ship them anywhere. Good luck!

My baby is currently 7 months old and we have gone through soooo many sizes, too! She is mostly wearing 9 to 12 month clothes at this point and she had soooo many 0 - 6 months from my three baby showers! I am trying to keep the under 1 year old size hand-me-downs to one tupperware container, so I have been giving the extras to my friend who just had a baby! She said that the clothes I gave her have been the main ones that her bundle of joy has been wearing, so that made me feel good.
I don't think baby clothes really go out of style, but style is in the eye of the beholder! I guess the character out-fits may not always be in style, but little footy pj's and the such probably are always "in"! You'll have to determine that!
My suggestion would be to find out whom in your community is having a boy and donate some of the out-grown clothes to that person. Consolidate to one or two containers and remember he will outgrow the current ones, too. If there is no one in your community who needs boy or uni-sex clothes take them to a second hand shop or sell them on e-bay; those two options will probably be the most lucrative! Good luck and enjoy your pride and joy!

First of all it sounds like you had too many closthes to start off with. I hope they were gifts. Just buy enough clothes to get you thru a week! don't throw your money away! I don't know if ebay is worth the hassle for selling baby clothes. Watch several listings and see how they go before you start selling. And remember that ebay charges for listings and most buyers will only pay thru paypal, which also charges a fee to take payments.
Maybe ask around your friends & families and see if anyone is expecting a baby soon. Perhaps you can pass them along to someone and save them some money.
Also, if you do want to save them, that would be fine. Baby clothes do not change "style" anywhere near as often as adult clothes. Onsies never go out of style!

My daughter is 7 mo and has been wearing 12 month clothes for a month now. She skipped over 9 mo clothes. I freecycled anything that I didn't want to keep. I doubt I will be having another child anytime soon, and it's a 50/50 chance it would be another girl. But onesies and sleepers usually don't go out of style. If they are in good condition, and you want to keep them, keep them. You could also take them to the Salvation Army or Purple Heart or have a garage sale.

Everyone is different. I have a tote that has some of my sons outfits in it that I'll save and not re-use. I also have 3 totes full of things I will re-use if I have another boy. Mostly newborn things as they outgrow then so fast. I also saved pajamas, clothes he never wore, jeans, shorts, and some t-shirts that were "nicer" from Baby Gap. If I end up not having another boy then I'll get rid of them later.
If you have the space I would save at least SOME stuff that you can re-use...pajamas will not be "out of style" in a few years like a cartoon character might be.

Well, boys clothes don't really go out of style.... You could minimize the clutter by reselling the stuff you like but aren't in LOVE with.... I have two boys ages 1 and 3, so it's nice to have hand me downs from one to the next.. I've found that it's better to buy better quality for the older one since the younder one will be wearing it... I seperate the clothes by size/season and put them in space bags ! I can get a whole storage bin- in 1-2 spacebags that store in the closetfloor or under the bed! I also shot resale for clothes it's cheaper and most of the clothes are in near perfect condition... Or shop end of season that's good too.... good luck

If space is hard to come by, I would sell them or give them away, especially if ytou are not planning another child for a few years. Not because of the "out of style" issue, but just storage. Even if you would donate them to someone who needs them.
I got rid of my daughter's clothing. I kept a few items that I liked or were special to me and sold/gave away the rest. If you were to have another child, yard sales are the best and cheapest way to come by baby stuff.
Use the money you get to get him more stuff you need.

I saved all my first child's old baby clothes except for things that I ended up not really liking or that wer too stained. They pack up pretty small so you can fit a lot into a rubbermaid. Now my second child is wearing her sisters old clothes - I haven't had to buy much new stuff at all. If you decide to get rid of stuff try a second hand store in your area or Ebay. I have auctioned off several lots of nice, gently used baby clothes on Ebay and all have sold well.

I kept all of my sons clothes because we knew down the track we would have more children (coming in handy now, i'm almost due with our 2nd boy and he will be in the same season clothes my son was at the same ages). Having said that, we do have a lot of extra space for storage and a lot of 'brand name' expensive clothes, so had more reason to hold onto them. If you are short on space, keep a few of your fav outfits and ebay/yard sale the rest of them. We also have massive storage bags that you suck the air out of with a vaccum cleaner to reduce the size of the bag, its amazing how much they shrink down, also keeps the moths out, think they are called 'space bags, but there are a few different brands of them.

I don't think baby clothes really go out of style. I have stuff from 6 years ago that still look brand new. I would hold on to them until you think you're done having kids. I also have a 6 month old who wears 12 months. I tend to always buy 6 months bigger than he wears so he can fit in them longer.
