"On CNN's Crossfire on October 20, 2000, Larry Flynt exploded a bombshell: that he has evidence that George W. Bush was "involved in an abortion in Texas" in the early 1970's - when abortions were still illegal."
Larry Flint has been the undoing of a number of Republican lawmakers, such as Vitter. So much for family values.

This is the problem with this story:
If it were true and the woman and/or her friends that have knowledge of this are not speaking. Maybe they are being intimidated but that would only be speculation... Facts don't work off on speculation or at least credible sources.

Also, even if this were true this event happened in 1970... a person can change their mind about a issue; we criticize people on here so much for changing their minds. I would agree that it would be hypocritical because Bush does not seem to sympathize with people who seek abortions BUT that does not mean he can't change his mind (and this is 1970... that's 40 years ago!!!!).

The only real disturbing thing about this (if it were true) would be that he committed a crime by seeking a abortion procedure... but I think most people believe he used cocaine frequently and that is a crime. This is more serious but I don't know the statute of limitations in Texas.

I hate this president but he should not be accused of something like this without better evidence than this. If the woman comes forward then I will listen.

And Larry Flynt is crack investigative reporter working for whom?
So what?
If he's not a reporter (which he isn't) then he has a hidden motive - like running down the Republicans.
If he IS a reporter (Yeah-Right) then he should be fired by his news agency for denying them the story.
If there were a REAL story here, then where is the media hype? This "bombshell" was released just prior to the 2000 election and the news media missed the "bombshell"??
I think not.
This is a "no story." Larry Flynt is a sleaze bag without scrupples or morals.

Wow... what a load.
Who is "smirk"?
I wonder why they didn't say Anna Nicole was the mother-to-be.
Your tabloid website offers the quote from CNN with nothing in it, but say it has been "scrubbed" by CNN

Look.. If CNN had some dirt on the President... they'd be wailing it from the minarets

So what.... to each his own. If you are against abortion so be it but let other people make the choice themselves. I would never have an abortion because I would not be able to live with myself but if someone else felt the need to have one, go for it...

Please explain what this has to do with the year 2007.

I'm typically not a Bush defender, but in this case I'll have to defend him. I'd be more scared of a person who hadn't evolved/changed since the 70's than one who has.
