Why are people such jerks and so mean to other people?

It makes them feel bigger than the other person. It inflates their ego's to be like that. I totally understand where you are coming from. They are just mean spirited and spiteful people who usually have way bigger issues within themselves and are lashing out at others. That is my opinion.

They don't follow the golden rule. They don't treat others the way they'd like to be treated.

And they just are mean and don't care.
