You can try Dorney Park in Allentown or Six Flags - Great Adventure in NJ. There's also Knoebel's Grove or if you want to go to VA you can try Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens - Williamsburg. Cedar Point is great, but you will have to go to Ohio for that.

If you want a good roller coaster vacation go to Cedar Point the worlds record holder capital. Voted the worlds best ride park for like the past ten years, it has the most roller coasters and some of the best roller coasters, like the Magnum xl200 (200+ ft), millenium force (300+ ft), and Top Thrill (400+ ft) high along with a bunch of other sweet rides and stuff to do. If you make it a vacation you can go to Cedar Point the one day, and another at nearby Put-In-Bay or Kelly's island for an all around good trip. Plus they have Soak city water park on the Cedar point peninsula too. They offer ride park/water park packages and the hotel around it are pretty nice and can be inexpensive if you book on a less than peak day. It's worth the trip, and on the way back you could stop in cleveland and see the rock hall and science center if you're into that kind of stuff.
Hope I didn't sound too much like I was a travel agent selling you a deal!

I have six flags near my house. It's about a 40-45 minute drive, so when the summer comes around, my family and I pack up the car, and go to the park probably like every weekend. I bet you I could name ALL the rides there by now. I don't think I would EVER move just because the Amusement Park is here. Baltimore, County

Try Kennywood out in Pittsburgh, they have a few good rollercoasters. There is also Dorney Park, although I am not 100% sure where it is located, I know that it is in PA. Knobels and little parks are around.....

Idewilde Park....They have a lot of water rides there....been ages since I have been to Idewilde or Kennywood.....(I am from DuBois PA and currently in Chambersburg)

Cedar Point is in Ohio and about a five hour drive for you guys. They have the best coasters I've been on in this side of the country. Totally worth the drive for you guys!

Go to Kennywood! It's a great park, one of the oldest in the country and has great rides. I've gone there since I was a little girl and my whole family loves it.

Kennywood Park is near Pittsburgh, in West Mifflin. There is an amusement park in Erie, near the entrance to Presque Isle. I cannot remember the name of it.
